ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting. I am glad we see eye to eye on the importance of idioms :)
DeleteA falling tree makes more noise than a growing forest, it is an italian idiom , it means that people are more interested in bad news than good news? Is there this idiom in english ? Is there an idiom, which explains better this saying ?
ReplyDeleteHmm, it could be a few. I would probably say, "The squeaky wheel gets the grease." You could check out another post http://eslcarissa.blogspot.com/2012/05/idioms.html which discusses a great site called idiomizer. There you can put in your Italian idiom (in Italian) and they'll see if there's an equivalent in other languages.
DeleteWonderful post the people like me, who loves to read and share idioms. You won't believe Carissa, I didn't know the meaning of A Hot Patato, really enjoyed this stuff.
